Or one of our guests has made a video that we really want to share. Impression of the EMInspirational 2020
This year we are organizing several Esprit Montagne Inspirational weeks. The participants will run 3 Skyraces and 3 verticals in the mountains around the Vallée d’Abondance in a week. Tom de Beukelaer made this beautiful impression from the sky of the Skyrace Roc de Tavaneuse.

Unfortunately, Tom was unable to walk during the EMI this summer, but he was there with his drone and camara’s and made this short film about a very beautiful trip through the mountains around the hotel.
Fred Campion Memorial VK 2019
It was already the 5th edition of this Vertical KM race. Tom made this beautiful video of it.
A super start to winter 2017-2018
This winter got off to a truly super start and the slopes are therefore already open on weekends as of late November. And with all of that fresh snow, we of course couldn’t resist finding some fresh powdery snow ourselves.
Ski touring
Portes du Soleil is not only ideal for skiing down slopes, but there are also many possibilities also to start with ski touring (with skins under your skis, walking uphill under your own power).
Esprit Montagne Invitational 2016
An impression of the first day of the EMI 2016. A fantastic run through the mountains with the top Dutch and Belgian runners. Enjoying nature and sharing the same passion.
Heliskiing
Taking a helicopter high into the mountains and then, under the supervision of guide Edward Bekker, enjoying a beautiful day of skiing in the mountains on the border of France and Switzerland. Who wouldn’t want that?!
A happy dog
It’s not only us who are very happy about the first snow that falls. Loebas also cannot believe his luck and loves nothing more than running through the deep fresh snow all day.
Epique Freeride week
For years, they have been coming with their guides from Epique to spend a week powder skiing in January in Portes du Soleil. And each year, they are lucky enough to have tons (and tons) of fresh, feather-light powder. Which means pure fun.
Extreme Couloir skiing
Tijn and Paul dropped by for a day, and so, together with Daan, they headed out in search of good snow in beautiful couloirs. Paul skied the couloir of the Roc de Tavaneuse. Daan and Alke went for the couloir of Mont Brion.
Drone test flight
We got a new drone, so that just had to be tested. Up to Sevan for the first flights and a bit of running through the first snow in the alpine meadows.
