Water sports
Swimming
The Châtel now features the new Forme d’O, a swimming pool with a beautiful wellness area for a relaxing day enjoying water and wellness. What is much more fun is, of course, swimming in the open air. Champéry and Morgins has a beautiful open-air swimming pool with sunbathing lawn.
If you don’t mind a half-hour drive, then follow the route along the Dranse river, through the Gorges to Lake Geneva. Here, you will find several sandy beaches where you can swim in peace.
Rafting / Canoeing
Whitewater rafting on the Dranse river, one of the most beautiful rivers in France. Through unpredictable gorges with beautiful trees, the Dranse river winds from the mountains towards Lake Geneva. It’s not for nothing that the French kayaking championships are held on this river!
From €38 per person. Minimum age 10 years old.
Sailing
Within a half hour, you are on fashionable Lake Geneva, a beautiful lake with picturesque villages, palm trees and large mansions. Here, you can rent a sailboat for a day (or half-day). With a skipper if desired.
Aquapark
A half hour from here is the Swiss Aquaparc Les Bouverettes. Inside, you have numerous slides, whirlpools, jacuzzies and a large wave pool. Of course, there is also a wonderful outside area with a beach, sunbathing lawn and swimming pool situated directly on Lake Geneva.
Lavey Les Bains thermal baths
In Switzerland, you will find the Lavey Les Bains thermal baths(past St. Maurice in the direction of Martigny). This complex offers various saunas and steambaths, an outdoor pool with jacuzzies, rapids and sunbeds. Inside, you can bob around in the swimming pool with “underwater music”. Cool off in the ice cave or dive into the plunge pool.
Somewhat closer by is also the Thermes Parc in Val d’Illiez.
